The Albachs and the Flood

Last week was an adventure for sure! We planned to leave STL on 11/7 but we were woken up on 11/5, at 2 in the morning, by someone telling us the RV park was probably going to flood. Sure enough when I stepped outside my feet were covered in water! By the time we had picked up camp, as quickly as we could, and were ready roll, the water was up to my shins. We spent the night in a Walmart parking lot and started our adventure a few days earlier than planned! We had the best time in STL! For being somewhere that neither of us have ever visited, or planned to visit, we will miss it immensely. Such great friends and amazing times that we spent there!

We ended up staying the first night at a great campground in Arkansas that looked out onto the Mississippi River, the following night was a spot in the woods in Mississippi, Zoey loved it there, and then we made it to the panhandle of Florida and finished down by the in-laws where we’ll stay for the next 20+ days! Along the way we got to see some of our friends from Maryland, they live in Pensacola now, and that was so nice! It’s been 8 months since we’ve seen them. Lots of driving to get down here but we’re so glad that we made it and we always have fun on our little adventures on the way! After we leave here we’re headed to Tennessee!
